Unable to install sp2 on this intel motherboard

I am running windowsXP prof. I am unable to install sp2 on my
computer with Intel D865GBf motherboard and 2.8Ghz(HT) processor, 256MB RAM.
It does sp1 successfully but it is unable to do sp2. I tried it once but it
crashed my computer. It comes till the screen before the XP loading progress
bar at startup.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Before you install either SP1 or 2,you should download and install the
chipset
installation utility from intel,and the graphic drivers for the
board.Also,256mb
of memory is at minimum for youre hardware to function properly and for
xp...SP2 brings on more requirments than SP1
