Unable to install Fax services on Server 2003.

When installing Fax services on Server 2003 via add/remove programs, I am
asked for a file named FXS_instmsia.exe. Am completely unable to locate any
file by that name anywhere? Even a google search comes up almost empty.
Am I doing something wrong?

There is no such file. There is instmsia.ex_ and a bunch of fxsXXX files.
Does this happen every time you try to add the fax component?
Also, try deleting (or moving elsewhere) files c:\windows\setupapi.log and
setuplog.txt and then try installing the fax again. After it failed, these
files will contain information that will help troubleshooting the issue

The error is permanent. Deleted setupapi.log and setuplog.txt. Tried
installing again, same error.

It is looking for a file called fxsclnt.cab located in the Windows 2003 SP1
source directory. The contents of this directory are typically found on a
machine that has SP1 installed, under \Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386. If
pointing setup to that directory still does not help, open the fxsclnt.cab
and expand it somewhere on the disk, then point setup to that directory
(using Browse button)

Thank you *very* much Alex, that did the trick.
As it turns out, it seems that the problem was due to the fact that the
Server 2003 was installed from a version with integrated SP1 - but the client
only got a CD set with seperate Server and Service pack.
