Unable to import videos and images.

Hi,
I have used movie maker for two years now with no problems. As of the past
few weeks, whenever I try to import video or images I get the following
error: C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\sample.wmv could not be imported.
Unspecified error
Any idea of why this is happening or how I can remidy it?

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is I have system restore turned off
for security reasons :o( Anything else I can try?

Take a look at any programs you installed in the last couple weeks that may
have messed with codecs or DLL's and try uninstalling them to se if that
helps.
Otherwise reinstalling codecs or reregistering the DLL's may do the trick.
 
Thanks Wojo, I'll do that. Is there anywhere I can go to re-download
moviemaker?
 
Unfortunately not.
It is part of the SP2 package and thus can only be installed with that.
