Can't import images to create a slide show.

Sammy

When I try to to import images into a new collection I get the following
error:

C:\Photos\Stephies_orchest_all_region\MOV09369.MPG could not be imported.
Unspecified error

This error appears for every image I try to import, and none of the images
will show up in the collection until i shutdown movie maker and restart it.

After the images are loaded, I am not able to drag them into the storyline,
they just don't show up in the frame on the bottom when I drag them.

I thought I might be able to redownload movie maker from microsoft, but if
it means i have to redownload SP2, it's not work it, got too many updates
since I installed SP2.

Any help would be appreciated.

An .mpg file is not an image it is a video clip.
