Hi

I'm driving myself crazy here-- my hard drive crashed - it was completely
backed up on an external - I'm trying to reimport the pst files back into my
2003 Outlook --I was able to find the three files on my backup - I restored
them to my c drive - but when I go to import them (via dragging and dropping)
I get an error that says Outlook has blocked access to this potentially
unsafe item (the file is also listed in my folder as Unknown)

Help!

Right click on the pst and use the button pick properties and "unblock"
prior to trying to import?

Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data.
Just open the file in Outlook.
If that doesn't work you will have to provide accurate information on how
these files were backed up and transferred to your current hard drive.
You've provided none so far.

1) What makes you think you need to import?
2) What make you think that dragging into Outlook is the way to do it?

In Outlook, click File>OpenOutlook Data File, browse to the PST, select it,
and click OK.
