Unable to Import from Outlook

I'm getting a MAPI error when I try to import a PST file with my messages
from Outlook on my old PC to this new Vista one. I will be getting Outlook
but waiting for the 2007 version that should arrive in a month.

Is there a workaround?
 
De-install then reinstall Outlook, import into Outlook them import from
Outlook into Mail. Pain in the butt but works every time for me !!
 
I just spent an hour on the same problem. You must load outlook to solve
this. Dumb eh? I downloaded the trial version of Office 2007 - This imported
everything that I transferred into Outlook. Then I exported a file from
outlook and imported into Windows mail. Once everything transferred, I
uninstalled the trial version of outlook. Time consuming but it worked like
a champ!
