Unable to import an alphanumeric number

I am unable to import from Excel to Access patient identification number
which has alpha numeric character. I did save it as text field and as general
field in Excel eral but still unable to import it in Access.

Please assist.

Instead of letting the import create a table, define a table with the field
names from the excel sheet, but make your data types what you want them to be
in Access. Then do your import to this table.

Please define "unable to import" -- do you get an error message? do you get
a "#Num!" error in the table's field? or something else?

How are you trying to do the import? Which ACCESS version are you using?
