Unable to hide inactive icons?

For some reason my Hide Inactive Icons functionality is
broken. No matter what I set it to in the properties it
never hides inactive icons, in fact the little round
button that can be clicked on is missing completely. Any
ideas?

Hi!

sorry, but I have no solution yet. It's an extremely
annoying problem since this is one of the features that I
have learned to like in XP. Would appreciate if you let
me know if you find a solution. I will do the same if you
send me your e-mail. /Goran (e-mail address removed)

This post seems to be out of the thread so, I'm not sure if this will help.

R-click the taskbar, select properties. Make sure the box for "Hide inactive
icons " is checked. It's at the bottom of the page.

Click the "Customize" tab. Find the items you want to hide and click on the
"behavior" entry next to them and choose the option you want.

Probably because the poster is using "X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000", which does not automatically prepend "Re: " in
the "Subject:" line when the luser clicks [Post Reply].
