Hide inactive icon

I am running Windows XP and have successfully managed to
hide all my inactive task bar previously, but now all of
the sudden it doesn't work anymore. I have tried to check
and unchecked the "Hide inactive icons" in "Taskbar and
start Menu Properties" but still the icons are all show.
I set it to "Hide when inactive" on the task bar
customize menu for all applications.

Would anybody have any idea how to repair this.
