Unable to Get Straight Horizontal Lines - PowerPoint 2007

Hello,

I seemed to be having an issue when I try to straighten out any lines in
PowerPoint 2007. I normally hold the shift key to get a perfectly straight
line, but if I resize it then the Height changes and I cant see to make it
straight again. My work around is to go in the Properties box and manually
set the Height to 0, however, I never had to do that in PowerPoint2003. I
have looked on the web and it seems many people are experiencing this issue
but I have not found a solution. Please note that I have already turned off
the Snap to Grid option and I still experience the same problem.

I don't have a solution for you, Marilyn, but I feel your pain! I'll be
anxious to learn what the solution is!

This is a bug. There's a hotfix for it. The nature of hotfixes means that it
may or may not work for you, but it's worth trying.

Pressing the spacebar will also stop the horizontal drag action.
