Back in the good old version of PowerPoint, if you wanted to extend a line,
all you did was hold down the shift key and drag the circle on the end of the
line -- the shift function enabled you to extend that line without changing
its original angle as far as you needed it to go.
In the new PowerPoint, this doesn't seem to be the case any more. If you
hold down the shift key while extending a line, it actually creates a
INFINITE line in the direction you are trying to extend. And there is no
ability to change the angle of the line from there at 45 degree intervals,
either. This is particularly annoying when you need to extend a horizontal or
vertical line.
Is there some trick in the new PowerPoint that I'm missing here? Or is this
just a bug?
