unable to get pictures from camera

i have a fujifilm finepix a210 digital camera.i am running a acer computer
with windows xp and have installed the downloading stuff from the supplied
disc onto the computerand followed all instructions.after restarting my
machine and then plugging in the camera i get the messages that it has found
new hardware and everything is good to go.when i turn on the camera there is
a noise but then nothing.following other directions i have looked in my
computer and located devices with removable storage and opened that but there
is nothing there.also displayed tgere is a fujifilm mx700 camera, which is
not the correct model,opened that and then get a message that it is either
busy or can not be found.i can create a shortcut to the camera and see the
images and then load them into my documents but that dose not give me what i
want. i hope that someone has the same type of camera and problem with a fix
for this because i have spent days trying to fix it. thanks

bush, go to an article written by Yves Alarie on 010105 on this forum and I
am sure that you will find your problem. It certainly did help me with a
similar problem with a Fujifilm A303. I am certain if you will follow these
directions you will solve your problems. HTH
