Unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could not be opene

I have a user account that was disabled in active directory. Someone needed
access to this user's mailbox. I re-enabled the account and under the
Exchange Advanced tab in their user setup I gave this other user full mailbox
access. Normally this works, however whenever he tries to add the mailbox to
his Outlook and open it, he gets the error "Unable to expand the folder. The
set of folders could not be opened."

What am I missing?

When we do this we normally ask the users to wait 15-20 mins for the changes
made to take effect (ie. to replicate across the network), failing which to
log off and log back on again to pick up the new permisssions. It may be
that this user just needs to log off/on to pick up the new permissions you
have allocated.
