I have a Dell Dimension 8200 with XP, SP3, Windows Firewall, Avira
antivirus,
Spybot and Hive Cleanup and all the programs work well together and
are up to date.

I don't know if this is the correct venue for this problem but I'm
hoping someone will be able to help. The problem is this; whenever I
watch something on YouTube for example and click to enlarge the
picture to full screen I get white screen. This feature worked
previously and I don't understand why it doesn't work now?

I haven't done anything or added anything etc. and I regularly update
my computer. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

When did you use the Hive Clean Up tool last? That tool is a Registry tool which
most likely removed the entry in the Registry that you needed to have your issue be
fixed.

Never but never use any Registry Cleaning tool(s). They are all snake oil remedies
and you get results such as you have at present

Thanks in advance,

Most likely, turning off hardware acceleration in the Flash Player will
resolve your issue.

The next time you are viewing a Flash Video file in the Flash Player, right
click on the video(while in normal viewing mode) and choose "Settings".
Remove the checkmark next to "Enable Hardware Acceleration".

Good luck,

Donald Anadell

My understanding was that Hive Cleanup runs in the background and
ensures sessions terminate when logging off. Am I wrong in that
understanding? If so, should I remove Hive Cleaup?

Robert

I believe the Hive clean-up tool automatically runs on shutdown. At least
the Microsoft one does:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=1B286E6D-891...

No, you don't need to remove it. You are correct in the way it runs. It's an
automatic service that kicks in on logoff/shut down.
