Unable to edit Excel Bar Chart in PowerPoint 2003

Hi,

There is a bar chart created by Excel 2003. I am not able to edit it after
I put it in Powerpoint. The Edit feature is dimmed. However, I am able to
edit it with the the same Powerpoint file on another PC.

What versions of PowerPoint on each machine and are they both up to date
with SPs and updates?
