Unable to dismiss a reminder

I am having a problem in Outlook 2007 with a reminder that keeps popping up.
When I try to dismiss it, I get the error message "Cannot turn off the
reminder...Cannot locate recurrance information for this appointment". Any
suggestions?
 
Try starting outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.
start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders
