Unable to Delete

I have suddenly developed a problem deleting a backup file. I get the
message, "You need permission to delete this file. Try again?" Yet, I am
logged on as the Administrator--in fact, there are no other users authorized
to sign on in Vista, and I never had any problem deleting this file before.
Can I correct this? How can I delete this file?

Even though you may have an account with admin power, you only have the same
power as regular users, until you elevate them.

You need to take ownership of these files before you can delete them.
