Unable to delete file on CD-RW

Running XP & I save files on a CD-RW. When I tried to delete
a file on the CD I got an error messae saying that the file
was read protected. How can I delete that file.

Hi,

You can only selectively delete files on a CDRW if you wrote them with UDF
(packet writing) software. You cannot do this with the native burning
utility. You can only erase the whole disk.

Using XP tools, you CAN'T delete a single file from a CDRW. You must
erase the entire CDRW.

If you want a file-by-file type CDRW, where you can add/delete files
at will, then you need to get a third-party packet writing program.
The big players in that game are Roxio and Nero.
 
Roxio has Drag to Disk (DirectCD).
Ahead (makers of Nero) has InCD.
