Unable to delete a record from Outlook

When attempting to delete a record within outlook, I ge
tthe following error message. "THe messaging interface
has returned an unknown error. If the problem persist
restart outlook."

I tried repairing Outlook using the Control
Panel "Add/Remove Application to repair and restore
Outlook but no luck

WHo can help?

How large is your .PST file? Have you tried using the Inbox Repair Tool
(scanpst.exe) against it to see if any errors are found?
