unable to create calendar appointments

In the last week or so (not sure exactly when), sometime after installing the
last set of updates (though I don't know if that is what did it) I can no
longer create Outlook appointments or meeting requests. Whether I try and
select it by right-clicking the calendar or from the New > menu, nothing
happens. I don't even get the dialog box. If I go directly to the day/time
and try to type it in, it simply tells me that it cannot save the
appointment.

Version is 11.8118.8107 SP2. MS Outlook 2003. All the latest updates have
been installed.

I tried the detect and repair thing and it says it completed successfully,
but no change. Could not find anything in help either online or off.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I also have the same problem , can anyone please let me how to resolve this

Hi All,

I checked these options and it worked. Ran ipconfig /flushdns and then
restarted the
computer and checked it was workin fine,was able to create calendar
appointments.
I did this as when I ran outlook /cleanfreebusy command it was telling it
could not
communicate with the server.
