A friend of my is unable to connect to XP (SP1). When XP starts, the login
screen is presented. When she clicks on her login icon she is immediately
disconnected again and the login screen is presented again. I found a similar
problem on Internet. There the cause was that a registry entry was changed
changing the startup program from userinit.exe to wsaupdater.exe. However,
copying userinit.exe to wsaupdater.exe didn't solve the problem. What is the
cause of the problem and how can she solve it without completely reinstalling
XP?
