unable to connect to shared or networked printer

I've installed a local printer to my pc which is running
win2k professional os. When I share this printer and give
access to another user on my network which has the same
operating system, this user receives an error: unable to
connect, access is denied. Microsoft has acknowledged a
problem with this issue but has a solution been given.

Check the Spooler service if is ok.
Then try to delete the printer from the other user's pc
and re-connect it.
Check if the other user has print rights on the printer.
