I am running XP Pro on my home pc and would like to
connect via IE over the web. I have a DSL line and a
Linksys Etherfast Wireless Access Point+Cable/DSL Router
(BEFW11S4). I am able to connect to my laptop from my
home pc when my laptop is on dial-up. However, I can't
do the reverse, nor can I connect via IE from the office
using the IP address and port #. Any assistance is
greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

You would need to forward TCP Port 80 (for Web Client) and 3389 (for
Remote Desktop) in your Linksys router to the private IP address of
your XP Home PC... After you do this, you should be able to connect
if the webclient/IIS is installed and Remote Desktop is enabled.
