Unable to Connect Network Registry in RegEdt32

We have two Windows Server 2003 Domain Controllers, neither of which can be
reached from any other system via RegEdt32 Connect Network Registry.

The message is: Unable to connect to XXX. Make sure that this computer is
on the network, has remote administration enabled, and that both computers
are running the remote registry service.

We are logged in as Domain Admins when trying this. They cannot connect from
each other even.

Have you checked the security policy "Access this computer from the network".
You need to check this on Domain Policy and Domain controllers security
policy.

Yes, we have. Thanks anyway. We have two sets of domain controllers, one for
acceptance test and one for production - it works in acceptance test but not
in production, and so far we can find not difference in the configuration.
Most annoying.

We have verified the settings for all user rights and all other policy
settings, we have checked permissions on the winreg key in the registry, we
have checked that the remote registry services are running.

Any other ideas?
