I am trying to connect to the remote registry service on
a WindowsXP(w/updates) from a Windows2k(also updated)
computer using regedit and regedt32. Unfortunately I am
getting the following error after entering the computer
name in the "Connect to Network Registry" dialog in the
registry editor:

[ Error Connecting Network Registry ]

(X) Unable to connect to all of the roots of the
computer's registry. Disconnect from the remote registry
and then reconnect before trying again.

I should also mention. There are no problems connecting
to the remote registry on the WindowsXP computer when
using regedit on a different XP machine. I am only having
problems when using Win2k. I have tested this on 3
different PC's and get the same results.

Any ideas?

Help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

Is the Remote Registry service running on the Windows 200 box?
