I formatted an older Dell(optiplexGXI)that had win XP
installed with the 6 floppy disks downloaded from windows
xp support site. Everything went fine untill disk 6
instructed to load win xp disk into drive, well it ran
and ran and then displayed the following....value .SIF
missing that is used by setup.
SP1.cab setup cannot continue. That was in the blue
screen of setup. Restated as instructed and in the command
line the following is displayed...
NTLDR is missing
control/alt/del/restart

Apparently, you downloaded the incorrect disks.

Make sure you download the correct set of disks. If SP1 is included with
your Windows XP CD, download the setup disks for use with SP1.
