Unable to complete CHKDSK

I am unable to complete CHKDSK and my System restarts again and again when the CHKDSK is at 49%. If i cancel CHKDSK and start my computer it works very slow and my mouse hangs often and if i try to scan for any malware or spies the computer restarts again.
Please help me to fix this problem step by step
 
Could be your Hard Drive is failing - in which case a new one is the only option.


However, first try to see if you can run HijackThis and post the results so we can see if there is anything nasty on there.
