Unable to change Background pictures in Desktop

Hi,

I was unable to change the Desktop picture.
This is what I did:
Right click on property>Display Properties>Desktop>Browse>
Choose the desired picture in jpg.
But the pic remains the same.

Are you the Admin of your machine? If you are, click
start and open run and type in regedit. Click on
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion
\policies\system, see if ther's a string called wallpaper
if there is delete it thats the problem..
