unable to boot

Whenever I try to boot-up windows xp pro takes me to the boot screen that
asks if i want use safe boot, normal boot etc. No matter what choice i make
it flashes a blue screen with yellow writting on it and then restarts to the
same boot screen. I tried to reload windows and it worked for couple minutes
and then the screen went blank. I tried contol-alt-delete to restart and
ended back at the boot screen again.

Reboot, this time taking the immediate R option (this is the section I told
you to skip above. In this case, you will need to get to the Recovery Console
to perform the function below), and if the CD letter is say K: give these
commands
COPY K:\i386\ntldr C:
COPY K:\i386\ntdetect.com C:
(two other files needed - just in case)
ATTRIB -H -R -S C:\boot.ini
DEL C:\boot.ini
BootCfg /Rebuild

I did not recieve the steps that you mention. I also do not know what the R
option is. Any other help or clarification would be welcome.

When you start your comp, hit space until it takes you to the system restore
menu. From there check last good working configuration
