Unable To Back Up Registry

I'm trying to back up my registry before I remove a
Backdoor Trojan virus but when I look for the "Back Up"
option in System Tools via the Start button the option is
missing.

I've double checked my user account and I'm still down as
the Administrator.

Where can I find the Back Up option and how can I return
it to the position where it should be?

To backup the registry, create a restore point.

To locate XP's own backup program (called ntbackup):
"HOW TO: Install Backup from the CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition"
