Hi,

With my latest scan for viruses I have come accross two
adwares on my system, that have made my computer very
slow. One of them has some values in the system registry
also. I have to delete those. To do that I must first
back up the registry. I do not want to create a restore
point for the whole system, just a back up for the
registry. I am unable to find the Back Up tool in Start
Menu>Programs>Accessories>System Tools. How can I carry
out this task?

Start>Run>regedit>File>Export

A restore point contains your registry and a limited number of essential
system files. It is the fastest and easiest way to backup your registry. No
harm is done by backing up (or restoring, if need be) the additional system
files. Go for it.
