Unable to access Windows Mail

I want to establish an email account with Windows Mail. My ISP is Sky
Broadband and I contacted them to get POP3 and SMTP settings, which they gave
me. I entered them in the Windows Mail account setup window and finished
setup. I have tried sending mail but the mail is sent using my Sky email
address and when replied to goes into my Sky email inbox. I have tried using
a Windows mail email address but I get an error message when I try to send
mail. I have tried contacting Sky again but they are unable to help me.

It's unclear what you're trying to do.
 
I don't understand your differentiation between a "Sky email address"
and a "Windows mail email address." Email addresses are not tied
to an email program. POP email accounts are supposed to be universal,
i.e., usable anywhere in any email program.

If you get an error message, right-click on it, copy, then paste it into
a reply here..
