Unable to access some web sites

When I try to get past the main page of some web sites
and try to log in, the browser just tries to load the
page over and over again, without ever displaying
anything. I have cleared history and cookies, and set the
browser to lowest security settings. Starngely enough, I
can still access other web sites where log-in is required.

Any suggestions?

What is/are the url?

Some web sites under DOS attack will cause this.
Have had the same thing happen to me recently but I knew that it was under
attack.
I was just checking if it was back in order.
