I am unable to access any links in Hotmail. Links on other sites work fine,
only problem is in Hotmail. Able to access from other computers, just not
home computer. Any info appreciated.

I've got the same problem. It just started in the past week. If I log on to
Hotmail with Netscape or Mozilla, they work just fine. If I use IE6 to go
there, the links to open the mailbox don't appear, and then the whole page
just freezes. I end up having to use Ctrl-Alt_delete to get out of the page.
ANy ideas? It seems like it just happened since MSN started upgrading the
size of the mailboxes.

i am having the same problem. i did a thorough net-intergraters ( browser
hijack support group ) inspection. i also noticed that the links unlock after
3 minutes of waiting. let me know if you have the same 3 minute wait for the
links to unlock.

Seems like a popular problem and Microsoft doesn't step up to the plate and
respond....

I'm having the same problem and can't seem to find an answer other than
using Mozilla, which at this point isn't a bad idea....

Hi Phil :)

You do not offer information regarding the version of Windows or IE you are
using (IE SP1 or SP2), thus, we can only offer general information: :)

The MSN/Hotmail and .NET Passport should be treated the same as Secure
sites. Try the following and see if it helps:

Check your HOSTS file and see if the sites are there.

Also, try adding those sites to your IE Trusted Zone.

Trouble logging into Hotmail

and...

Tools>Internet Options>Security>Advanced>Custom Level> change each of the
ActiveX Controls setting respectively down the list to the following:

also......

Change the following in order:
Prompt
Disable
Disable
Prompt
Prompt

also......:

Log on as Administrator if running Windows XP
Go To Start>Run>type in ReGsvr32.exe softPUB.DLL "
Change the IE Settings: Tools>Internet Options>Security>Setting>set to
Medium or Low...
Uninstall MSN Messenger from the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
Run a repair of IE, then reintall the full MSN program (not Beta)
Check you connection settings and make sure your PRoxy settings are correct
it you use them, and if you use LAN, be sure "Proxy server" box is
UNchecked.

Hope this helps :)
