Unable to access Firewall Settings

T

tbweaver

I'm running XP-Professional-SP2, and am trying to fix some things..

One of them is this blasted firewall. Whenever I try to open Windows
Firewall, I get this error message:

"Due to an unknown error, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall
settings."

I am running Symantec Corporate edition, and have never had this
problem before until two days ago. Microsoft's website is useless.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
What are the Things you want to Fix and how are they connected with WF.
Symantec is blocking your Firewall or Did Disable it, to not interfer with
it or be risk for you in the future (say you open Remote Access and forget
untick it, anybody will have access to your Comp), so symantec Disable your
Firewall for protection.
If you want your W Firewall back try disable Symantec firewall and enable
Windows firewall (but I'm not sure it will go easy with Symantec).
Please tell us what you want to fix we may be a help to you without you
putting your system in danger or risk.
