Unabel to view emails on Outlook 2007

Hello, this is a plea from an Outlook/PC novice, I have installed Office 2007
beta on my desktop and thought everything was fine until i tried to down load
my emails. i cannot see them, i know they are there because the headers
appear but not the text. the closest i can get to viewing them is with
autopreview on, but cannot seem to get the whole email or attatchment. i run
AVG for anti spy wear and Zone Alarm for a firewall, ive checked the settings
but cant see anything obvious, any help would be gratefully received as my
wife is about to lynch me if it isnt resolved !!
 
Disable AVG's email checking feature.
If you are a novice, why are you installing beta software then?

Thank you for a prompt response Mr Schmid, i will give it a try. i tried the
Beta version because I was interested to see how different it is to 2003. It
was supplied free with a PC mag i bought to try in expand my knowledge
