Ultimate very busy after booting up - how can I see whats going on

Been trying to figure this out. I am running Vista Ultimate RTM on my laptop
and have been trying to figure out why it takes 5 minutes for my wireless to
connect to the access point after the computer starts up.

I have narrowed it down to something in the startup process, it is still
really busy after showing the ctrl-alt-del screen. I can log in and
everything looks normal, but the wireless takes a while to connect and you
cant launch any administrative tools for a few minutes. On the other hand if
I leave it sit for 5 minutes at the ctrl-alt-del screen everything is ready
to go when i log in.

Will any of these new vista tools let me monitor what is actually going on
during this lag?

Indexing, Superfetch, Readyboost etc all run on boot - Superfetch is the
most likely one as it loads up items in the background that it feels you
will use.
