Typing in a URL

When I type in a URL in the address 'box' it goes
directly to www.yahoo.com. I tried everything to change
it, but it keeps going to yahoo and can't go to any other
website! What is causing this..for an example. I typed in
www.newyorktimes.com and pressed GO. Then it loaded and
changed to www.yahoo.com, and went there. Thanks!

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
