Typing delay in IE6

J

Jube

Typing into text boxes on any web page is
delayed/buffered after installing SP2 for XP. Characters
are not directly echoed to the screen but instead
suppressed, then "pour out" in bulk (maybe 10-20
cgaracters at a time). Even clicking into a text box
does not immediately give you a blinking cursor - there
is a delay of 1-2 seconds. Keyboard works great in Word,
Notepad, etc. - only text fields in web pages - is this
an Active-X or Java issue?

Thanks in adcance for any help.

Hi,
This is probably being caused by a spyware/parasite program. Work through
the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

CWS Datanotary causes a very similar problem. Be sure to run CWShredder.

Hope this helps,
