I am trying to find a way to insert accented letters (á, é, etc) into Access
without having to open the Character Map or having to add a keyboard to
insert the character (users of this program may not be able to add a
keyboard).

Look at the bottom right of your character map. Click on the character
and it will give you a keyboard shortcut. For example the copyright sign ©
is Alt+0169 (hold alt, press 0169) Depending on your needs you could
arrange for Access to do a send keys (I think that will work) or use a third
party program like "Perfect Keyboard" to do a replace. For example I have
PK set up to replace dot"clip" with ©®½¼??£º² and I just delete what I
don't want. I don't know if you can access the replace feature from MS Word
that can do the same sort of thing.

BTW á = 0225 é = 0233
