place spanish accent letter in microsoft access

How do I place a spanish accent over a letter without deleting the cell and
copying the previous cell into it. When I press control + accent as I do in
Word, it automatically deletes the cell and copies the material above into
it. Thanks for our help.

Hi
There are keyboard combinations that insert symbols and accented letters,
uppercase and lowercase, by pressing the Alt key and different numbers on the
numpad. For instance, Alt+130 will insert é.

I don't have a list, but experiment and I'm sure you'll find what you want.

If you have a regular need to do this consider creating an autokeys macro in
which you can assign the accented characters to keystrokes. To assign Ctrl +
the F9 key to the lower case n with a tilde (ñ) for example the macro name
column (not to be confused with the name of the macro itself, which is
'autokeys') would be ^{F9} the action column would be SendKeys and the
Keystrokes value would be ñ, which you can enter using Alt 0241, copying from
the character map or copying from Word, where you can enter it with
Ctrl+tilde (Ctrl+Shift+#) followed by the n. For the upper case N with a
tilde (Ñ)you could then use ^+{F9} as a second line in the macro which would
mean pressing Ctrl+Shift+F9. Again Sendkeys would be the action and Ñ the
keystrokes value.
