Two sided print HP895ces

Hi, Im new to group and XP and willing to tweak its registry.
MS and HP I guess are trying to make me buy a new printer.
My HP 895ces printed two-sided fine in Win 98SE and also allowed
resolution better than 300 DPI. Win XP driver kills both these
goodies. Has anyone got a tweak or a way to install the Win 98 driver
for this? HP says I have the current driver.

Unfortunately, no. You probably do have the latest driver. I also
have a 895ce. The drivers for the printer are built into XP and are
the latest provided by HP.

Time to buy a new photosmart HP printer for XP with two sided
printing. Many new models are available for much less than the
original cost of the 895 series.

Yeah, I have lotsa ink to use up on the 895 and figured its a gimmik
to sell new printers and ink. I'm hopeful some sharp person ou there
will figure a way to revert the *&^%$# thing. I bet the new printers
kill a way to refil the ink. It won't be another HP ever.

XP comes with just basic drivers, common to all Deskjets, that do a good
job of printing but do not provide these bells and whistles. Those are
up to the maker (HP) - who seem *very* reluctant to produce any upgrade
driver for them
