Two OS's at startup

Hi everyone,

I just installed a new version of Windows XP onto my laptop. It's
Dell Inspiron 2650.

I had to install it several times due my foolishness. When I finall
had Windows installed, it would always prompt me to choose from TW
Windows XP professional OS's at startup. The first choice works, an
the second one doesn't.

Thinking it was just a matter of erasing the HD and installing again,
formatted the computer and installed the same XP again. However, th
problem persists.

What should I do? I don't want this prompt everytime I turn on m
laptop.

Thanks everyone. I hope someone out there can help me!!
God bless

Can't you do it in MSconfig -> Boot.ini -tab -> "Check all ??? paths" ?
