Two mysterious changes in Vista

I just checked to make sure and, according to Control Panel -> Windows
Update -> View update history, the only updates installed since I installed
RTM are:

Two MSXML 4.0 patches
Two Malicious software removal tool updates
One update to Windows Mail
One update to Windows Defender

Yet, there appear to be a change to Vista.

When mapping a drive and selecting to connect as a different user, there was
a checkbox to tell Vista to remember the password. That checkbox is gone.
The only option now is for it to remember the password. Of course, this
doesn't fix my account lockout problem previously posted about because Vista
has already "remembered" an empty password where a password exists and even
if I map the drive anew with a password, Vista tries the empty password and
does so at least 5 times in a split second, still locking out my admin
account on the server.

I forgot to change the subject to "A mysterious change in Vista" when I
realized my second change has to do with Windows Live OneCare and not
specifically with Vista so I removed it from the post.
