We were just sidetracking...not necessarily talking about your business/project.
but...
I bet you could get almost any local business (maybe even a local isp) to donate 120 bucks a year...or free web space...to a good cause.
Heck, we had a garage sale last week for a non-profit I volunteer for, we had everyone clean their garage out and bring it to one place...we made 875.00 smackers in used clothes in 6 hours...gave the stuff that didn't sell to Good Will. Do that once a year and you have your real domain for free and 600 bucks left to make quilts.
| I don't 'have' a business.
|
| Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with no money
| except from donations. If you're not aware of Project Linus - we make and
| distribute security blankets to kids who are traumatized through illness,
| injury, or otherwise are in need. Not much money to spend on websites. I
| spend my money on blanket making materials! However, if someone wanted to
| donate the cost of a 'real' domain, I might look at that very kindly!!
