Is one card an AGP (or built in card) and the other a PCI? If so, do you
have the PCI card in the slot right next to the AGP slot (or if built in the
closest to the processor)? If both questions are yes, try moving the PCI
card at least one slot over. Reason, the AGP or built in card shares the
hardware interrupt with the 1st PCI slot (the one closest to the
processor) - no not the one Windows uses, the only the chipset uses
internally, and sometimes the demands video puts on the bus/chipset is more
that it can handle, especially if two video card/monitors are on the
interrupt/slot. Also having different cards, with different video drivers
taxes the process also.
If you have a "duel" head card, then check your BIOS/CMOS to see if it
allows increasing the amount of Video card shadowing - with my Quadro Pro 4
256MB VGA/DVI, when I added the 2nd LCD, I experience similar issues, until
I went into the BIOS and increate shadowing from 256MB to 512MB, then all
disappeared (note make sure you have the memory to do this, my system had
4GB physical, but after this change, windows only had 3.5GB available now -
as the Video card is using a total of 768MB now - 256 onboard the card, and
512 from memory).
