When my computer boots up, I bring up the task manager and it shows two
copies of iexplore.exe (all lower case) running in the background. I don't
use iexplorer for my web browser, haven't used it for months, yet the
processes just started showing up last week. They're using 30,000 k and about
5,000 k, and when I try ending the processes, they both come right back.

I've read that if there's a folder in Win32 called iexplore...then it's a
virus, but I don't see anything there, plus I've run Spybot and my AVG and
nothing turns up.

Can anyone make a suggestion?

Find out what is loading at startup/login
Click Start - Run
Type msconfig and press enter
Can you se any instances of iexplore being loaded?
If so you can disable them.

If your not sure then

Click Start - Run
Type msinfo32 and press enter
The System Information application will open.

Under Software Enviroment, select Startup Programs
Click File-Export
Save the file and post it here.

Sorry, I should have said that I already ran msconfig and it doesn't show up
on startup.

With the information I've given you, can anyone else recommend a solution or
tell me what's happening?
