IExplore 6.0 xp pro

Sometimes I can't get IExplore to open unless I double click on the
quick launch icon. Then sometimes I have multiple IExplore in the task
manager. I also sometimes have to shut them down in order to
disconnect from online. The multiple browsers seem to tie up my
dialer.

I just did a check and the IExplore opened with one click. Then closed
it and had to double click to get it to open. There are currently 7
IExplore browers open in task manager. One is only using 80 k another
76 k. Most are 15,204-15,414 or so.
I did some googling but did not find exactly what I was looking for.
Where should I start?

I keep the files defraged, have kaspersky av updated all the time. Use
MS antispyware, spybot S&D, spywareblaster and check occasionally
with hijack me, and cws.
Kerio is my firewall.

What service pack level for XP are you running? If less than SP2 update
to SP2:

Have you run the malware scans in safe mode? All scans should be done
in safe mode and then normal mode.

Try some clean boot troubleshooting to see if you can isolate an app
causing a problem.
