Process starts program does not

Sometimes in XP when double clicking on a program for example IE it fails to start. Double clicking on it again, it still fails to start.

Checking task manager there will now be two iexplore processes running. I use pskill to kill these processes which it says that it does. these are still both left running in task manager. I basically cannot kill off these processes.

The only way that works is to reboot.

I run upto data versions of SOPHOS and do an ad-aware scan once a week.

Any ideas ??

Depends.....and also, Ad-Aware does not solve everything. It takes a combo
of them. Run these listed:

Ran Spybot
Adaware with vx2 pluginn

Checked out the running processes of spybot and stopped some of the graphics related stuff as i though I may be suffereing from "driver crush"

Also ran Security Task Manager and disabled some of the things there graphics again, nvidia.

Bit too early to say but machine feels less sluggish
