Two identical personal folders

Satoshi

Recently, Outlook Express was migrated to Outlook2003.
Outlook.pst was migrated also. What I see is two identical personal folders
under Mail.
I have no clue how to get rid of one personal folder. Any suggestion would
be appreciated.

There is no such thing as migrating OE to Outlook The two programs are not
related in any way.
Provide more accurate detail on this "migration." You have a corrupted
profile.

I used a wrong term.
I copied .pst file from Office 97/WinXP Pro to Office 2003/WinXP.
Everything works fine except the duplicated personal folders. Satoshi

That's your problem. You never copy or overwrite a PST file. That's what
corrupts the profile. Instead, you configure Outlook to use a different PST
file. Instructions here:

I am having the same problem!!! I have followed the instructions in
the KB below and cannot get rid of the Personal Folder.

I have gone to "Tools - Email Accounts - Deliver new e-mail to the
following location" to change the name BUT I cannot change the
location it keeps going back. Even after re-starting Outlook.

Any Ideas

Thanks

Ron

Read the thread. You have a corrupted profile. Create a new profile first,
then follow the KB instructions.
